On february 5, the delhi High court rejected his plea seeking additional time to clear the outstanding dues.
Following the court’s order, the actor surrendered at Tihar Jail.
On february 17, he was granted interim bail, with his sentence suspended until march 18.
Court Case and Emotional Statement
Before surrendering, Rajpal was reportedly in deep distress.
He was quoted as saying, “I have no money. I don’t have any other option. I am completely alone here. I have to deal with this problem alone.”
His emotional statement drew attention from fans and the film industry alike.

Rajpal briefly entered politics but stepped away in 2019.
He clarified that he intended to serve people.
According to him, leaving politics allowed him to focus on meaningful contributions in his own way.

He said the ink on his thumbprint had barely dried before he rushed to the ceremony.
