Last seen in the emotional entertainer Jai Simha, Nandamuri Balakrishna is back on screens this time collaborating with his Gautamiputra Satakarni director Krish to present the biopic of his father, the legendary NTR, in NTR Kathanayakudu the first installment. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net NTR Kathanayakudu review.

NTR Kathanayakudu begins with NTR being shown as an employee at the register office, and he resigns to enter films. He starts with Mana Desam, and key moments from his cinema career and his relationship with his wife Basavatarakam, the pain of his son Ramakrishna's death, the arrival of Chandrababu Naidu and the Movie ends with subsequent entry of NTR into politics by launching his own political party.

Balakrishna has completely transformed himself into his father, and exhibits powerful emotions with extreme ease, and has also excelled with his modified and improved body language and dialogue delivery, presenting the audience a replica of the legend. Vidya Balan as Basavatarakam delivers a lovely performance and her chemistry with Balakrishna brightens the proceedings. Sumanth as his grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao is impressive, while the rest of the huge star cast, have made their presence felt, playing legendary yesteryear artists and becoming a part of history.
MM Keeravani's background score is scintillating and his songs are well composed. Cinematography by Gnanasekhar VS presents the movie with the authentic feel of the period to which NTR belonged and the editing by Arram Ramakrishna is sharp without any deviations or unnecessary drags. Having already directed Balakrishna and a historical project, Krish has this time opted for a Biopic and that too about a legend who still lives in the heart of many. NTR Kathanayakudu chronicles the life and times of NTR and his elevation and transformation from a railway clerk to a superstar, ultimately taking the political plunge.
With impressive performances by Balakrishna, Vidya Balan and with a powerful screenplay as NTR understands people need him, Kathanayakudu is well made without drags despite a near three hours runtime. Krish has placed exciting elements in the screenplay and his narration style is unique that one could literally take the journey with NTR. Technical team inclusive of Sai Madhav Burra's dialogues, Gnanasekhar's cinematography make NTR Kathanayakudu a rich and well made Biopic that sets the tone for the second installment rising expectations. All said NTR Kathanayakudu is a must watch journey depicting the life of a legend, serving as a life lesson and proving this generation on who's NTR and what's his contribution to the people.
