In a program organized in Karnal, haryana on Sunday, Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said that before the arrival of the british in india, 70 per cent of indians were literate. Mohan Bhagwat also said that due to the education system, this situation has completely reversed and india has lagged behind.
Praising the indian education system, Mohan Bhagwat said, 'We all know that before the british dominated, 70 per cent of our country's population was literate. On the basis of that education, people used to find means of their livelihood and there was almost no unemployment. At the same time, in the education system that was running in England, there was 17 per cent literacy.
