Recently Telangana’s bid for a place in the record books actually turned reverse as the biggest flat unveiled by the Chief Minister on the State Formation day, is repeatedly getting torn and not even a month after the hoisting, the Original flag and a spare flag got torn due to the heavy winds the officials have claimed.

Meanwhile the government has claimed that Monumental flags getting damaged are a universal phenomenon and any flag post higher than 100 foot high and flags with dimensions of over 20 to 30 feet is considered monumental.

The Flag Foundation of India chief executive officer K.V. Singh has said that there are about 150 monumental flag posts in India and on the other side, there are allegations that cheap fabric is being used for making the flag and that is resulting in the damage.

Earlier the Telangana government has employed a German organization to strengthening the fabric of the flag to prevent this mishap in future and the government claims there is no issue with the fabric as it was knitted-polyester, similar to the ones in Delhi and Ranchi.
