A low-pressure area might develop over Indian Ocean and southwest of Bay of Bengal stretching to the southeast of Sri Lanka and will be extremely intense on April 27 and then move towards Tamil Nadu coastal areas causing cyclone storm on April 29.
Slight rainfalls have been witnessed in TN for past few days with 10 cm in Periyakulam being maximum, and it is expected that cities like Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Nilgiris, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, and Thanjavur districts will experience rains in next 24 hours.
