DMK President MK Stalin has filed a defamation case against Tamil Weekly Magazine Vikatan as they published fake news that he had financial dealings with 'Lottery King' Martin Santiago who is currently under Income Tax radar.
MK Stalin claimed the allegations made by the article are purely imaginary and he demanded a sum of Rs 1.1 Crores as compensation for damaging his reputation. The article had the heading, "500 crores election fund? Martin is caught …DMK in trouble".
The article also revealed that Martin was close to DMK family and he is still in touch with them. The article also revealed that the businessman is still close with the family. It further exposed that Martin funds trinamool congress (TMC) and he organized a rally in kolkata.
