The final rites of Kodela happened a little while ago in Narasaraopeta. The final yatra of the former Speaker happened for around three hours. TDP fans and the local people came in huge numbers to have a final glimpse of their beloved leader. On the other side, Telangana Police is investigating into the case after registering it as a suspicious death.
Already the statements of Kodela's family members are recorded. The Police are gearing up to interrogate Kodela's son, Shivaram who is back from abroad the other day. He directly flew to Vijayawada and headed to Narasaraopeta. So, Telangana Police did not get a chance to question him. There are allegations that he prompted Kodela to commit suicide.
A relative filed a complaint with Sattenapalli Police that Kodela called him a few times in the last few days and told him that his son, Shivaram is tormenting him mentally and physically to transfer the entire assets on his name. "He requested me to save him from Shivaram. I tried to convince Shivaram on this issue couple of times but he did not budge," Saibabu told in his complaint. Even though the complainant is a YSR Congress leader, Telangana Police decided to take that into cognizance as well.
