Reportedly several companies from across sectors are pitching in to help the government and citizens fight the Covid-19 pandemic in India. From making masks and sanitisers to contributing funds, many indian companies have united to help citizens and government fight the virus, which is gradually spreading across the country.

For instance, Diageo india has pledged to produce around 3,00,000 litres of bulk hand sanitiser across 15 of its manufacturing units in the country to help cope with the demand for the product. It also plans to donate 5,00,000 litres of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) to the sanitiser manufacturing industry to enable the production of more than two million units of 250 ML bottle sanitisers.

 

Diageo india is also planning to support the hospitality sector with Rs three crore as health insurance cover for bartenders. Apart from that, it also plans to donate 1,50,000 masks to five state public departments.

 

Vedanta Resources Limited CEO anil Agarwal also committed Rs 100 crore towards fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. mukesh Ambani’s reliance industries Limited (RIL) has also pledged to support the people and government in fighting the novel coronavirus crisis.It announced via a press release that Sir HN reliance Foundation Hospital in collaboration with the BMC has set up a dedicated 100-bedded centre at Seven Hills Hospital in mumbai, Maharashtra. Apart from that, reliance also announced free fuel for all emergency service vehicles in the country. reliance Retail has also announced longer hours from 7 am to 11 pm at its outlets for customers.
