Karnataka cm Action - Free Hindu Temples?


Under the new law, the government of karnataka will give the temple administrations the right to take care of temple development.

Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that a law will be enacted soon to free Hindu temples from the control of the state government. The government of karnataka has recently enacted the Protection of Right to Freedom of religion Bill, 2021 in the Legislative Assembly. It has been announced that this Act will come into force soon after obtaining the approval of the legislative council. In the wake of this, the state chief minister Basavaraj Bommai has taken the next step to implement the new law soon to free Hindu temples from the control of the state government. The bjp executive committee meeting is being held for two days in Hubli, Karnataka. Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Basavaraj Bommai said, “Currently, Hindu temples in the state of karnataka are subject to various restrictions and rules. The government is no longer going to allow temples that are suffering under the control of the authorities to function independently. Accordingly, the government of karnataka will give the temple administrations the right to take care of the temple development work through the new law.

A bill to free the temples from the control of the state government will be tabled in the next assembly session. This historic move will be taken after consultation with senior leaders. The bill will be tabled before the budget session. Basavaraj said that this will enable the temples to function freely without any restrictions.
