The telangana rashtra samithi (TRS), the state's ruling party, has changed its name to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and it will launch its operations in New delhi from rented space. In order to facilitate the beginning of the party's activities in the national capital, according to party insiders, a building close to Sardar patel Marg has been rented. At Vasant vihar, work is currently being done on the party's permanent structure. The decision to hire a space for a temporary office was made by party officials because there is still time for the construction to be finished.

A motion to change the name of the trs to the BRS was unanimously approved during a general body meeting on Wednesday, which was presided over by party president K. chandrasekhar Rao. Rao declared that the general body meeting had unanimously decided to rename trs as BRS in order to broaden its scope of operations. The party constitution was also changed at the conference in this area. The trs notified the indian election commission on thursday that it had decided to alter its name to BRS. An official copy of the resolution passed at the trs general body meeting was presented to the election commission of india (ECI) in New delhi by a delegation of party leaders led by former mp B. Vinod Kumar.

Chandrasekhar Rao laid the cornerstone for the Vasant vihar party building last year. kcr placed the cornerstone at a ceremony on september 2 in front of his cabinet colleagues, MPs, state legislators, and a number of party officials. The trs made the claim that it was the first political party from South india to establish a presence in Delhi. The trs office, which is being built on a 1,100 square metre plot of land, would be known as telangana Bhavan, just like its state headquarters in Hyderabad. Whether the office's name will change as a result of trs adopting a new name is not yet known. The conference room, library, and audio-visual theatre will all be located in the three-story structure.
