According to Telangana's minister for industries and Information technology K.T. Rama Rao, who is currently visiting the US, hyderabad has become the most popular investment location for US aerospace and defense industries. According to a statement from the minister's office in hyderabad, he presided over the aerospace and defence roundtable in washington dc during the tour, which was attended by notable US majors, consultancy firms, think tanks, and startups.

According to the statement, KTR, as the minister is called, highlighted the phenomenal expansion of the aerospace industry and private sector defense investments in telangana during the previous nine years. He noted that Telangana's focus industry is aerospace and defense and claimed that by taking home the top state honors for aerospace for three consecutive years in 2018, 2020, and 2022, telangana has accomplished a great feat. In addition, Hyderabad was named the No. 1 Aerospace City of the Future in the Financial Times FDI rankings for 2020–21. According to him, these awards demonstrate the State's forward-thinking attitude toward the aerospace industry.

Numerous production facilities for US corporations are located in telangana, including a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Tata Group that produces and distributes Sikorsky helicopter cabins, C130 J empennages, and F 16 wings.
