Three FIRs were registered against balaji and later chargesheets were filed against him. Also, criminal cases related to MPs and MLAs were pending in a special court. The supreme court had in May allowed the police and the ED to investigate the case. Senthil, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate, was dismissed from the cabinet by the tamil Nadu governor on june 29. After this order the governor caused controversy, the governor later withdrew his order.
