Following the Chief Minister's directive to increase health insurance coverage for each beneficiary covered by the Aarogyasri insurance programme from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, the decision to issue verified wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>digital cards was made.

The e-KYC programme, which will soon be deployed as part of these efforts and allow recipients' identities and residence addresses to be digitally confirmed through Aadhaar verification, will be used to do so. In a review meeting on Aarogyasri, health minister T harish rao stated that a facial recognition system will be introduced in place of the current biometric method to identify beneficiaries, and the necessary software will be developed in the upcoming weeks.

Aarogyasri healthcare services would be subject to a medical audit by a team of senior doctors from NIMS, the minister added. The State-run Kakatiya Medical College's affiliated MGM warangal will offer free Cochlear Implants (CI) surgery and follow-up therapy for kids with hearing impairment. This decision was made during the meeting. The Koti ENT Hospital is the only state-run facility now providing these youngsters with free CI implants and rehabilitation therapy, which includes auditory and speech training.
