Hydel power generation has started in a handful of the big irrigation projects on the krishna and Godavari rivers, which are all getting enormous inflows. Power generation from the remaining water will start later once the water is released for agriculture reasons. The sriram Sagar project, which has four turbines with a 9 MW capacity each, is now producing 36 MW, according to authorities from the Irrigation Department.
Through a 230 KV substation between Pochampadu and Bussapur, the project's power output was linked to the power line from Ramagundam. In comparison to the Full Reservoir Level (FRL) of 1091 feet, the sriram Sagar Project's water level is now at 1090 feet. The project is getting an inflow of 5360 cusecs, and its outflow is also at 5360 cusecs.

The upper and lower power generation stations of the jurala project have been turned on to begin producing 234 MW of power as a result of the project getting an intake of 44,616 cusecs. The srisailam Left Power House, which has six 150 MW units and a daily generating capacity of 900 MW, is also getting ready to start producing electricity.

The project's input is 47,332 cusecs and its outflow is around 1543 cusecs per second. Compared to the FRL's 885 feet, it now has a water level of roughly 861 feet. The electricity generation in srisailam would start after it reaches 870 feet, according to the officials. However, power production will take some more time at the nagarjuna sagar project, which is currently receiving 8,206 cusecs inflow from upstream projects like Srisailam. The project's current water level is 515 feet compared to the FRL level of 590 feet, and power generation will start once it reaches 570 feet. The project's power plant has eight units and 815.6 MW of total installed capacity.
