The 'Isha Gramodvasam' festival, which has the honor of being India's biggest rural sports festival, is going to be held in a grand manner tomorrow (September 23) in front of coimbatore Adiyogi. The finals of the 4 major tournaments namely Men's volleyball Tournament, Women's Throwball Tournament and Biathlon Kabaddi Tournament will be held from 9 am to 5 pm in front of Adiyogi. In this, the players and teams of the teams selected from the 5 states of tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, andhra pradesh and puducherry are going to compete. The players involved are not professional players. The highlight of the festival is that the athletes come from different backgrounds like bundle lifting labourers, people from farming and fishing families, rural youth and women. Thousands of people from all over tamil Nadu are expected to visit Isha tomorrow to watch the matches. Apart from the main sports competitions, various traditional competitions such as stick tree, scrimmage, tug-of-war, children's sports and golf competitions will be held from 10 am to 3 pm for the participation of the spectators. Also, there will be various traditional arts performances including Karakattam, Wailatam, Poi Kal Khodyyatam etc. A rural food festival will also be held. The public is free to participate in this festival celebrating rural life.
The volleyball team topping the final will get Rs. 5 lakhs, Rs.2 lakhs for throwball team and Rs.2 lakhs for men's kabaddi team. 5 lakhs and the women's kabaddi team will be given an exciting prize money of Rs.2 lakhs and plaques of appreciation.

The event will be telecast live on leading tamil TV channels and Esha's official YouTube channels. Around 60,000 sportspersons participated in the 15th Isha Gramotsavam festival which started in the first week of August. About 10,000 of them are women. The first cluster matches were held at 194 locations.
