There is a tussle between the aam aadmi party and punjab congress, which are part of the I.N.D.I.A alliance.
Punjab congress leaders have been unhappy with the alliance with AAP since the beginning. After the arrest of
Congress mla Sukhpal Singh Khehra, the opposition of punjab congress against the AAP government has
increased further. Due to which there are continuous discussions going on in the political circles as to what effect
this will have on the I.N.D.I.A alliance. Meanwhile, the reaction of senior punjab congress leader and former
state congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu regarding the I.N.D.I.A alliance has come to light.
‘This is not an election to choose the chief minister of Punjab’
Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu tweeted and wrote that the I.N.D.I.A alliance is standing like a high
mountain. Storms here and there will not affect its grandeur! Any attempt to try and break this shield to protect
our democracy will prove futile. punjab must understand that this is an election to elect the prime minister of
India and not the chief minister of Punjab! india will join, india will win.
Attempt to convince party leaders
Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has clearly advised the congress leaders through his tweet not to bring the
INDIA alliance in the middle regarding the arrest of Khehra. That is why he has also said that this alliance has
been made for the election of the prime minister and not for the chief minister of Punjab.
