The voting process was completed on november 7 under the first phase of assembly elections in

Rajnandgaon district. After a long wait of about 26 days, the counting work will start on Sunday, December

3 from 8 am in the warehouse of Basantpur Warehouse of the city. Where 14-14 tables will be set up

assembly wise for counting votes from EVMs.

For the counting of votes for the four seats of Rajnandgaon assembly elections held under the first phase,

the counting of votes will be done on Sunday, december 3 from 8 am in the counting center located at

Chhattisgarh State Warehousing Corporation, Basantpur. For the four assembly seats of the district,

Rajnandgaon, Dongargaon, Dongargarh and Khujji, 14-14 tables will be set up for each assembly and the

votes recorded in EVMs will be counted. At the same time, 2 tables each for each assembly, a total of 8

tables will be set up for counting the postal ballot.

Rehearsal for counting of votes will be held on november 2.

Regarding preparations for counting of votes, Deputy district election Officer Khem Lal Verma said that

the strong room will be opened at 7 am in the presence of the General Observer, Returning Officer,

candidate and election agent. The counting of votes will begin at 8 am. The counting of votes will first begin

with the postal ballot, after which the counting of ETBPS will be done. For counting of votes, one counting

observer, one counting assistant and one micro observer have been appointed at each table. Rehearsal of

counting work will also be done on november 2 at 11 am at the counting venue. 384 officers and employees

have been deployed for the counting of votes.
