According to sources rajasthan Bar Council had ordered to hold elections in all the bar associations of the entire state on the same
day. The bar associations had challenged the order of the Bar Council in the supreme Court. However, the SLP
presented by the bar associations did not get relief from the supreme Court. Some bar associations of Rajasthan
challenged the high court order in the supreme court and argued that they were not given a chance to hear their
views. In the supreme court, the bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice prashant kumar Mishra, while
disposing of the petition, said that you should go to the high court again.
The supreme court has disposed of the SLP by giving instructions to present a review petition there. Kapil
Prakash Mathur, Vice Chairman, Bar Council of rajasthan said, I congratulate all the advocates of the state,
because the SLP presented in the supreme court has been disposed of. After this, the way has been cleared for
conducting Bar Association elections in Rajasthan. I appeal to all the advocates under the supreme court,
Rajasthan high court and Bar Council of rajasthan that as per their orders all the bar associations should
conduct their elections on 8th December. The Council of rajasthan has decided that 8th december will be kept
as advocate voting day. It should be celebrated. All the advocates should participate enthusiastically in the Bar
Association elections and make it successful.
