As per report cyclone Michaung has wreaked havoc across chennai and its neighboring districts in the past few days, causing airports and subways to shut down as the city is half submerged in rain waters. The cyclone triggered heavy rainfall in tamil Nadu and Puducherry. So far, at least 17 people have died in rain-related incidents in chennai, while property worth crores has been damaged. However, the rain has subsided in chennai and flight and train operations are back on track with rescue operations underway in several parts of the city.
Meanwhile, the india Meteorological Department (IMD) on tuesday said the landfall process of Cyclone Michuang is completed while southern districts of odisha and eastern telangana continue to be on alert.
