According to sources, SP asked congress to first give a list of which seats you can win and on which seats you want to contest. It was said from the congress side that congress needs 25 seats in UP. In response, SP said that everyone in the alliance should contest only those seats which they can win. In alliance, mutual egos should be kept aside and fight should be done with reality. According to sources, SP said in the meeting with congress that the party has conducted a survey on all the eighty seats, hence the party and akhilesh yadav have the assessment of who and whose candidate can win on all the seats. SP did not stop here. It was also said in the meeting that we will fight not just for seats but to win and congress should also do the same. Don't fight just for the sake of fighting, but fight to win. Therefore, congress should name its candidates only on those seats where it has good presence or can win.
Sources claim that in the meeting SP said – Let Samajwadi party lead in UP, it will be in the interest of the alliance. SP said- There should be another meeting on january 12 in which Samajwadi party is holding a meeting of all its district presidents, metropolitan presidents, MLAs, candidates in the assembly and assembly in-charges in Lucknow.
