'2 pilot projects being run for fencing'
home minister amit shah has shared a post on the social media platform 'X' and wrote, "Out of the total length of the border, 10 km of fencing has already been installed in Moreh, Manipur. Apart from this, two pilot projects of fencing through Hybrid Surveillance System (HSS) are also being run. Under this, fencing is being done at every kilometer distance in Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. Apart from this, the work of installing fencing for about 20 kilometers in Manipur has also been approved and the work will start soon.
Security of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur states will be further strengthened
The north-eastern state of Manipur is in unrest since May last year. This decision of the central government is also being considered very important in the direction of strengthening national security. In Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur, fencing work at every kilometer distance will further strengthen the security.
