From MGR's Deiva Thai to Rajini's Badshah! RM veerappan is the producer of many films!
Renowned producer and politician RM veerappan passed away recently due to old age. He is 98 years old veerappan was MGR's right-hand man. Born in Pudukottai district, he started his career as an assistant to Perarirjar Anna. Later he was also an assistant to father Periyar. Following this, in 1950, when the late chief minister mgr started his own cinema company, he assumed the responsibility of managing it. Slowly he started making movies.
In that way, in 1964, he produced the film 'Theiva Thai' starring mgr, Sarojadevi and MN Nambiar. This film was well-received by the fans. Following this, in 1966, he again produced the film 'Naan Amanchittal' with MGR. Sarojadevi and KR Vijaya acted as mgr in this film. He subsequently produced hit films like Kavalkaran, Kannan En Valandan, Rikshakaran, and Utiyakani, with MGR.
Apart from that, he produced films including Superstar Rajinikanth's 1981's army Soldier, 1982's Three Faces, 1983's Thanga Magan, and 1995's Pasha.

He also produced films like Khaki Satti, Urgavalan, and Kadhal Parsi with Kamal Haasan. RM veerappan, who has produced many films with actors like Sathyaraj, Arjun, Prashanth, etc., last produced 'En Magan' in 2006 starring Bharat, Gopika, Nasser, Saranya Ponvannan, Vadivelu. This was his last film.
R.M. veerappan is not only in filmmaking but also in politics. RM veerappan, who was in MGR's cabinet when he was chief minister, served in Janaki's team after MGR's death and then in the unified AIADMK led by Jayalalithaa. Especially when jayalalithaa was chief minister, RM veerappan was also included in her cabinet. Expelled from AIADMK by jayalalithaa, he worked with DMK chief Karunanidhi. RM veerappan was one of Karunanidhi's closest friends till his death.
RM veerappan, who was one of the closest people to the current chief minister Stalin, Kamal Haasan, and Rajinikanth, was admitted to chennai Apollo Hospital after suffering from problems due to old age for many years. The doctors continued to treat him, but he died shortly after the treatment failed. Political celebrities, actors, actresses, and many people from the film industry continue to express their condolences on his death.
