High court gave its verdict in the case of Dawoodi Bohra.

Bombay high court has made a big decision in the Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin case. The court has rejected the petition of Syedna Taher Fakhruddin. Syedna Taher Fakhruddin had filed a petition in the bombay high court, objecting to the appointment of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin as the religious leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community.

Rejecting this petition, the bombay high court has ruled that Syedna Saifuddin should remain the religious leader. The bombay high court has upheld the appointment of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the 53rd religious leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community. A single bench of Justice gautam patel said the court "has decided only on the issue of evidence and not on the issue of faith," PTI reported.

In 2016, after Qutbuddin passed away, his son Tahir Fakhruddin took over the case, claiming that his father had given him the powers. The lawsuit demanded the court stop Saifuddin from discharging his duties as Syedna. "Qutubuddin claimed in his lawsuit that his brother Burhanuddin appointed him as Majoon (second in command)."

Fakhruddin claimed that "his father had appointed him to this post before he died." Dismissing the case, Justice patel said, "I do not want any turmoil. I have kept the judgment as neutral as possible. I have decided only on the matter of evidence, not on the matter of faith."
