The yogi adityanath government has given a big relief to 1165 dependents of the deceased who have been waiting for years. The government on thursday approved the proposal to give jobs to the family members of these deceased employees in the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (Roadways). Now soon the recruitment process of all these dependents will be started.

It is worth noting that in the year 2003, the state government had banned the recruitment of dependents of the deceased in public undertakings and corporations. Due to this, appointments were not being made in Roadways for years. Meanwhile, many dependents kept pleading with the officials and public representatives, but the process did not move forward.

Recently, the dependents of the deceased also staged a sit-in protest at the Transport Corporation headquarters. After this, the matter gained momentum. The corporation's GM (Personnel) ashok kumar had sought a detailed report from GM (Operations) Ankur Vikas on this issue. Also, the state's Transport minister Dayashankar Singh had also assured to complete these recruitments on priority.

Prepared proposal and sent to cabinet

The Transport Department collected information about the vacant posts and prepared a proposal for the appointment of these deceased dependents and sent it to the cabinet. Now after getting the approval of the cabinet, the way has been cleared for 1165 eligible dependents to get jobs in Roadways. Soon the schedule of the related recruitment process will be released.

This decision will not only provide relief to the families of the deceased employees, but will also improve the efficiency of Roadways, because there has been a staff crisis in the department for a long time. This step of the government is not only important from a humanitarian point of view, but it will also provide support to those families who lost their family members during service. It is noteworthy that the appointment of deceased dependents in public sector undertakings was stopped in Uttar Pradesh for about two decades. But the Yogi government has taken this historic decision, ending this long wait, which will give a new direction to the lives of thousands of families.
