After the recent military confrontation between india and pakistan and 'Operation Sindoor', the indian government is now preparing to put its side strongly in front of the global community. In this connection, a delegation of MPs from various political parties will visit major countries of the world. Its purpose is to create international public opinion about Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and justify India's response on the global platform.

However, this initiative is getting mixed reactions in political circles. congress leader Udit raj has raised sharp questions on this plan of the government. He said that when no one in the world is supporting india, then what will be achieved by sending 40 MPs abroad? He argues that even though india may have targeted some terrorist hideouts during Operation Sindoor, the roots of terrorism are deeply spread in Pakistan. According to him, ISI effectively controls everything in Pakistan and the statements of prime minister Shahbaz Sharif have no special significance.

Congress's stand and political background

However, the congress party is supporting this effort. congress General Secretary jairam ramesh said that Parliamentary Affairs minister Kiren Rijiju has talked to party president mallikarjun Kharge about this delegation. Ramesh also said that even though prime minister Narendra Modi has refused to call a special session in parliament or chair an all-party meeting, the congress has always stood in favor of national interest.

He also made it clear that the congress will be a part of this multi-party delegation as it is a serious issue like national security and creating global public opinion. The congress party also wants that the resolution passed by the parliament on 22 february 1994, in which Pakistan-occupied kashmir was declared an integral part of india, should be reiterated. This resolution was passed unanimously and it remains the basis of India's pakistan policy.
