51-year-old Canadian businessman Harjeet Singh Dhadda was shot dead in Mississauga. Dhadda was shot by criminals on Telford Way near Dixon and Harry Road, who was declared dead in the hospital. His daughter Gurleen Dhadda has shared a post on the social media platform instagram and informed about the case.

She wrote on social media that my name is Gurleen Dhadda. I am the daughter of Harjeet Singh Dhadda and I want justice for my father. I want justice for every family who has lost to this system. She further wrote that this incident has shaken my family and the entire society.

'We kept begging the police for protection'

Gurleen Dhadda told that for the past few years my father was receiving threats for ransom. In april 2023, we also faced a possible attack. We informed the police about this and we kept begging them for our safety, but we did not get any help from them. The Canadian police failed to protect us. He told that even after informing about the attack, we were not given any security. The police did not take any action. Due to this an innocent person lost his life.

'Why is no action being taken against those demanding ransom?'

Gurleen asked the Canadian governmentwhat action is the government taking against those demanding ransom and those who attack people by targeting them? Such attacks are increasing and innocent people are feeling insecure, while the police is not taking any action against them. In such a situation, what option do we have?

He said that we need to improve the laws, when the police and the concerned agencies cannot guarantee the safety of the peoplethen they can take necessary steps for their own safety. Everyone has the right to protect themselves. Gurleen told the people that today my father has lost his life, tomorrow it can be yours too. So stand with us and demand justice.
