After the ceasefire with India, now the Pakistani army has started drone attacks in residential areas of pakistan itself. Recently, 4 innocent children were killed and so far 5 people are injured in the drone strike of the Pakistani army in Hormuz village of North Waziristan district of khyber pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
This drone strike was carried out by the pakistan army on monday (May 19, 2025) midnight in Hormuz village of North Waziristan, a Pashtun-dominated area. According to Pakistani media sources, the drone strike of the Pakistani army was against the terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban pakistan (TTP), but the explosion took place in a residential area and women and children came under its grip.
Protests against Pakistani army and government
After the death of children in the drone strike of Pakistani army, protests are also being held against the army and the government at various places in pakistan, where the relatives of the deceased children protested with the bodies of the children killed in the army's drone strike outside the gate of Mir ali Cantonment and accused the army of targeting the common people, while in Peshawar, students protested against the Pakistani government and army and demanded to stop drone strikes in Pashtun areas.
What would have happened if such an attack had happened in Lahore or Gujranwala?
Pakistan's political parties have also come out in protest against the army's drone strike in North Waziristan of Pakistan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party mp ali Amin Khan issued a statement saying that the lives of Pashtuns are cheap in pakistan, so the army has dared to carry out such a drone strike.
According to Sad ali Amin Khan, the blood of Pashtuns is cheap for the government, shame on such a government. He said that if such a drone attack had happened in Lahore or Gujranwala, what would have been the reaction? Till when will Pashtuns keep becoming collateral damage? Similarly, another mp from Pakistan's opposition party, Zartaj Gul, said that when her party was in power, the policy was clear that Pakistani people should not die in drone attacks, but now these painful pictures are coming from North Waziristan.
Defense Minister also remained silent on drone attack
However, Pakistan's government and army are completely silent on the death of children in drone strike in North Waziristan and are not ready to take responsibility and no statement has come from the Pakistani army till now. Last night, when Pakistani journalists asked Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif about the children killed in the army's drone attack in North Waziristan, he quietly sat in his car and left without saying anything.
