After the pahalgam attack, during India's Operation Sindoor action in the terrorist areas of pakistan, many terrorist hideouts were targeted. In this, 9 indian air Force officers including many indian fighter pilots played an important role, who have now been awarded India's third biggest wartime bravery award Veer Chakra. During Operation Sindoor, indian forces shot down about 6 Pakistani aircraft, which led to a major success in the war and india broke the back of pakistan and the terrorists hiding in Pakistan.
These air Force officers will be honored
The officers of the indian air Force to be honored include Group Captain Ranjit Singh Sidhu, Group Captain manish Arora (SC), Group Captain Animesh Patni, Group Captain Kunal Kalra, Wing commander Joy Chandra, Squadron leader Sarthak Kumar, Squadron leader Siddhant Singh, Squadron leader Rizwan Malik and Flight Lieutenant Arshveer Singh Thakur. Apart from these, four senior indian air Force officers who contributed to Operation Sindoor, air Force Deputy Chief air Marshal Narnadeshwar Tiwari, Western air Force commander air Marshal Jitendra Mishra and director General air Operations air Marshal Awadhesh Bharti were also awarded the Best war Service Medal.
A total of 26 air Force officers were honored
A total of 26 officers and airmen of the indian air Force have been awarded bravery, which includes officers and personnel operating air defense systems. They made a precise strategy for the attack on pakistan and made the operation successful. Along with this, 13 other officers of the indian air Force were also awarded the war Service Medal, who contributed to the defense of indian airspace and carrying out attacks. These include air Vice Marshal Joseph Suares, AVM Prajual Singh and air Commodore ashok Raj Thakur.
