CBI Arrests EPFO Official for Bribery

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Jagdish Tambe, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, EPFO delhi (West), for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹1.5 lakh.


Bribe Initially Demanded Was ₹3 Lakh


The accused had allegedly demanded ₹3 lakh from a complainant to settle RDA (Review of Departmental Action) proceedings in a favorable manner.


After negotiation, he agreed to accept ₹1.5 lakh.

Based on the complaint, the cbi registered an FIR on september 9, 2025 against the accused.

On september 10, the cbi laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe amount from the complainant.

Jagdish Tambe was immediately taken into custody by cbi officers.
