šŸ”ø Strong Stand Against Absenteeism & Horse-Trading

Shiv Sena (Uddhav balasaheb Thackeray) has demanded mandatory voting by all political parties inĀ PresidentialĀ and Vice Presidential elections.

Parties like BRS and BJD were specifically accused of staying away from the Vice Presidential election under pressure.

In its mouthpiece 'Saamana', shiv sena (UBT) stated that such behavior is unconstitutional and weakens democracy.

šŸ”ø Call for Derecognition of Absent Parties

The editorial demands that parties repeatedly avoiding such elections or engaging in unethical practices should have their official recognition canceled.

The party appealed toĀ newĀ ViceĀ PresidentĀ CPĀ RadhakrishnanĀ to takeĀ initiativeĀ and make a law that mandates voting and prevents horse-trading.
