Fifth arrest in AI Summit Protest Case
Delhi police arrested a fifth indian Youth congress (IYC) worker in connection with the shirtless protest at the AI Impact Summit.
The accused, Jitendra Yadav, was apprehended from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
With this arrest, the total number of people held in the case has risen to five.
🔹 Protest at Bharat Mandapam
The protest took place during the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
A group of IYC workers staged a shirtless demonstration inside Hall No. 5.
Protesters wore slogan-printed T-shirts under their shirts and revealed them inside the venue.
Slogans included messages against the government and the India-US trade deal.
Security personnel quickly intervened and removed the protesters from the exhibition hall.
🔹 Planning and Entry Strategy
According to police sources, the accused allegedly registered online and obtained QR codes to access the venue.
Initially, they planned to paste protest stickers on black umbrellas and carry them inside.
Fearing the umbrellas would attract security attention, they changed tactics.
They printed slogans on T-shirts and concealed them under formal shirts.
Once inside the lobby area, they removed their outer shirts and raised slogans.
🔹 Allegations and Investigation
Police claim some protesters manhandled officers on duty.
Authorities are probing a possible wider conspiracy behind the protest.
Investigators are also examining the financial trail, including funding for printing the T-shirts.
More names have reportedly surfaced during interrogation.
IYC president uday bhanu Chib has been questioned in connection with the case.

The bjp termed the protest a “shameful act” that tarnished India’s global image.
The indian Youth congress defended the act as a peaceful protest.
The IYC said the demonstration aimed to safeguard national interests.
The matter remains under active investigation by the delhi Police.
