There are rumors in media circles that the popular television news channel TV9 may be sold out to a business tycoon from Telangana very soon, who is considered very much closer to powers-that-be in the new state. This does come as a sensational news.

My Home Group headed by Jupalli Rameshwar Rao seems to have offered to take over the media group of TV9 for a hefty amount which is yet to be disclosed even as the deal may be finalized very soon. This is going to be an interesting turn of events if it happens.

According to reports, the channel CEO Ravi Prakash seems to have brokered this deal between the channel’s promoter Srini Raju and Rameshwar Rao. There was some news in the past about TV9 being sold to Times of India group or Sony Network.

This couldn’t materialize due to high valuation of TV9 channels. After the formation of Telangana State, TV9 lost most of its viewership. Now Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who is more than eager to gain complete control over the big media has reportedly asked the My Home Group to acquire TV9. Let us see what happens.
