Sports Bill: When will the sports Bill be implemented after being passed by both houses? sports Minister Mandaviya gave information.

With the passage of the National sports Administration Bill by both houses, india became the 21st country to implement the sports Law.

The National sports Administration Bill has been passed by the lok sabha and Rajya Sabha, and Union sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya defended when it will be implemented. Mandaviya justified the provision of the bill as a standard safeguard that gives the government discretionary power to impose appropriate restrictions on international participation of indian teams and individual players in exceptional circumstances.

Mandaviya also said that the National sports Administration Bill will be implemented in the next six months. With the passage of this bill, india will become the 21st country to implement the sports Law. The implementation of its most important provisions will require the establishment of a National sports Board (NSB), which will recognize the National sports Federations (NSFs), a National sports Tribunal (NST) to resolve disputes, and a National sports Election Panel (NSEP) to oversee NSF elections.

Mandaviya said, This bill will be implemented as soon as possible. All the processes will be completed to ensure 100 percent implementation within the next six months. The established procedures of the Department of Personnel and Training and the Department of Expenditure will be followed for the creation of posts and for other administrative approvals. The aim is to ensure that both the institutions (NSB and NST) become fully operational as soon as possible in accordance with the statutory and procedural requirements.

Mandaviya once again reiterated that this is the biggest reform in sports after independence. Mandaviya said the provision giving the government the right to stop international participation is a standard security measure seen in sports laws globally, which is used in exceptional circumstances. This includes national security threats, diplomatic boycotts, and global emergencies that are not against any particular country. In practice, decisions related to sports tournaments with Pakistan are taken by comprehensive government policy and security assessments, especially after major incidents affecting bilateral relations.
