Apollo Tyres Becomes New jersey Sponsor of Team india Till 2027


New Sponsorship Deal Finalized


Apollo Tyres has been confirmed as the new jersey sponsor for the indian men's and women's cricket teams.


The deal will run until 2027, replacing the previous sponsor, Dream11.


Official Confirmation Awaited


A senior bcci official informed PTI about the agreement.


The bcci has yet to make an official public announcement.


Sponsorship Value & Bidding Details

Apollo Tyres will pay ₹4.5 crore per match to BCCI.


This is higher than Dream11’s previous rate of ₹4 crore per match.

Other bidders included Canva and JK Tyres.


Birla Opus Paints showed interest but did not enter the bidding process.


BCCI’s application Process


BCCI had invited bids for the main jersey sponsor on september 2, 2025.


The bidding process took place on september 10, 2025.


Categories such as gaming, betting, crypto, and tobacco brands were not allowed to bid.


Dream11 contract Termination


Dream11’s contract with BCCI was terminated early due to its association with betting.


The move follows the Online Gaming Bill 2025, which led to Dream11 being banned.


The deal with Dream11, worth ₹358 crore, was meant to last 3 years starting in 2023.


Dream11 had earlier replaced Byju’s as the jersey sponsor.


Indian Teams Playing Without Sponsor


Currently, the indian men’s team is playing in the Asia Cup in the uae without a jersey sponsor.


The women’s team is also playing the ODI series against australia without a sponsor.


Upcoming Women's World Cup


It remains uncertain whether the women's team will have a jersey sponsor for the Women’s ODI World Cup, starting September 30, 2025.


The tournament is co-hosted by india and Sri Lanka.


Global Recognition for Apollo Tyres


The sponsorship is expected to give Apollo Tyres significant global visibility.
