PM Modi’s Visit to kolkata and Bihar: Key Highlights and Full Schedule


Prime minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Armed Forces Commanders Conference today in kolkata at the Eastern Command Headquarters, Vijay Durg (formerly fort William).


The theme of the 3-day conference is "Year of Reforms – Transformation for the Future", focusing on military reforms, technological modernization, and operational preparedness.


The Combined Commanders' Conference (CCC) is a strategic platform where top civilian and military leaders discuss the future course of India’s defense preparedness.

Key dignitaries attending include Defense minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan, and Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.


After inaugurating the conference, PM Modi will head to Purnia, bihar, continuing his tour focused on development and infrastructure.


Major Announcements and Inaugurations in Bihar


Second visit to bihar within a month – PM Modi will launch the National Makhana Board, aimed at promoting makhana production, processing, exports, and market development.


He will inaugurate the interim terminal building at Purnia Airport, enhancing regional air connectivity and passenger capacity.


The PM will unveil and lay foundation stones for development projects worth ₹36,000 crore in Purnia.


A key highlight is the foundation stone laying of a ₹25,000 crore thermal power project in Pirpainti, Bhagalpur, the largest private sector investment in Bihar.


Modi will also launch the first phase of the Kosi-Mechi river interlinking project, costing over ₹2,680 crore.


Several railway projects will be inaugurated, and new trains will be flagged off as part of connectivity improvements.


Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, he will conduct Griha Pravesh for over 40,000 beneficiaries, handing over keys to selected recipients.
