According to a report, the government suspects that Bangladeshi citizens are interfering in them and jihadi activities are also carried out from these madrassas.

This has been decided in a meeting held on wednesday between DGP bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, State Secondary education Director mamata Hojai and 5 members of the Madrasa education Board.

How will madrassas be monitored?

The government has prepared a special plan to keep a close watch on madrasas. Now if a person from outside the state is given a job in private madrasas, then permission will have to be taken from the police.

No appointment will be allowed without police verification. The distance between two madrasas should be at least 3 km. There should be a minimum of 100 students enrolled in such madrassas.

Private madrassas will have to file their details by december 1. The private madrassa board has said that they have accepted the government's demand but they do not want the government to affect the methods of education of madrassas.

What is the police connection?

Assam police has said that no jihadi will be allowed to take shelter in any madrassa. Jihadi education will not be promoted in the name of religious education. police say that since 2016 till now, a total of 84 jihadis have been caught.
