The movie starts with Ravana getting blessings from Brahma. Rama's introduction scene underwater is good with jai Shriram chanting in the background gives goosebumps. The world of Ramayana told in the new age takes off well in the first half with some good visuals. But Ravana doesn't look like Ravana and the new rendering of Ravana doesn't look good.

The first half of the movie is the only saving grace. The World of Ramayana has been reimagined in an engaging manner. The Visuals and various key episodes are done effectively to cater to new-age audiences. 3D shots are adequately done. Even in the first half, a couple of fight bits have subpar VFX work but it doesn't bother the audience much. However, the movie falls flat in the second half completely.

The budget for the first episode of the Rama-Ravana conflict is enormous. These protracted episodes are produced on an enormous scale, but the effectiveness does not match the size. The artwork on the Ravana fort, his Demons, etc. more closely resembles hollywood science fiction movies than Hindu legend.  Good VFX may be found on Hanuma, Sugriva outfits, their den artwork, and Vanara Sainyam.  A few battle episodes feature subpar VFX, but it doesn't really matter.

The first half's emphasis on the drama worked, but the second half wasn't really interesting other than a drawn-out battle scene with subpar special effects. Many times, the music saves the movie. Families and children may find this modern "Ramayana" to be more endearing. The movie becomes tedious near the end, and prabhas might have another failure.
