Karnataka Bandh: 44 flights canceled in Bengaluru...

Karnataka has declared a statewide bandh in protest of tamil Nadu receiving water from the kaveri river. kannada Okkoota, a significant group of kannada organisations, called for this bandh. The bandh's effects are also being felt in the state. On Friday, september 29, at least 44 flights that were scheduled to depart from Bengaluru international airport were cancelled. In many cities, the bandh has also had an impact on people's daily lives. airport officials reportedly stated that the flights were cancelled for operational reasons. This information has been shared with the passengers. However, according to sources, flights were cancelled because of the karnataka bandh. The majority of the passengers cancelled their own tickets in consideration of the karnataka bandh. The bandh would have made it difficult for travellers to get to Bengaluru airport, so it's possible that the tickets were cancelled.

Workers entered Bengaluru airport

Five pro-Kannada activists attempted to enter Bengaluru airport at the same time waving karnataka flags. These workers were immediately arrested before they could cause a scene. Tickets from the five detained individuals, according to sources, have been discovered. These tickets were all reserved. These employees attempted to enter the airport by displaying their tickets and then protest there, but they were apprehended before they could do so.

Section 144 applied in these areas

Bengaluru and the southern regions of the state are overwhelmingly supporting the bandh that karnataka has declared. The quality of life in this region of the state has been significantly impacted because of this. In order to stop any untoward incidents from happening in the districts of Bengaluru City, Mandya, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagara, and Hassan, Section 144 has been imposed. In these cities, schools and colleges are closed. The kaveri river water dispute kept Bengaluru closed on Tuesday.
