While revanth reddy is poised to take the oath of office as the congress chief minister of telangana on Thursday, the bjp has yet to name chief ministers for rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The party is set to convene a major meeting in delhi today, during which the names may be confirmed. According to sources, the party intends to appoint new chief ministers. vasundhara raje, the former chief minister of rajasthan and one of the frontrunners for the cm job, arrived in delhi on wednesday night but avoided questions about the meeting or the cm selection. "I have come to delhi to see my daughter-in-law," vasundhara raje said outside the airport.

On wednesday, bjp MPs who ran in the assembly elections resigned from parliament and met with prime minister Modi. Madhya Pradesh's narendra Tomar, Prahlad Patel, Riti Patha, Rakesh Singh, and uday Pratap Singh were among them, as were Rajasthan's Rajyavardhan Rathore, Kirodi Lal Meena, and diya Kumari. Before running in the rajasthan election, Mahant Balaknath was previously an MP.

Vasundhara Raje is a two-time chief minister who holds the distinction of being Rajasthan's first and only chief minister. vasundhara raje, known as Raani among her admirers, is seeking a third term after the bjp won the election with 115 seats, ousting the sitting congress, which managed to capture 69 seats.

Following the announcement of the results, numerous bjp MLAs paid a courtesy call to Raje's house. The MLAs underlined that it was not a show of strength, and that while the public wants vasundhara raje to be the chief minister, the top leadership would choose the CM.

The name of 40-year-old Mahant Balaknath as cm has most likely emerged in the recent few days. Balaknath belongs to the Nath clan, as does Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath. Balaknath, an mp from Alwar, began sanayasa at the age of six.

Two days after the results, Karni Sena national president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was assassinated at his jaipur residence, sparking demonstrations throughout the state as the Karni Sena called for a statewide bandh on Wednesday.
