Tamil cinema's leading actor Thalapathy Vijay's 2005 film Sachin, which was released in 2005, was re-released in theaters on april 18 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. With 59,000 tickets booked through Book My Show, reports suggest that Sachin's collection has crossed Rs 11 crore so far.
In this film, which was released with a love and comedy storyline, Thalapathy Vijay played the role of Sachin, and genelia played the female lead. The film was directed by john Mahendran. Bipasha Basu, Vadivelu, Santhanam, Raghuvaran, Thalaivasal Vijay, Mohan Sharma, Baby Sharma, and many others played important roles. Vijay's next film 'Jana Nayagan' is currently being directed by director H Vinoth. The shooting of the film is expected to be completed by June. The film, which will have music by Anirudh, has a huge star cast including bobby Deol, pooja hegde, Prakash Raj, gautham Vasudev Menon, Naren, Priyamani, and Mamita. venkat K Narayanan is producing Janayagam under his KVN Productions banner.
The team is planning to release the film on january 9th, in time for pongal next year. Similarly, Vijay's portion in the film is expected to be completed by the end of April.
