On the other hand, choosing self-employment has increased. Rural workers and women in particular are showing interest in self-employment. Women's employment has increased to 31 percent. But gender discrimination continues. The number of men working is 23.4 crore more than women.
 The central government is implementing the Employment festival scheme to fill the vacancies in government jobs.
