Regarding her former relationships, including those with artist Santanu Hazarika and actor Michael Corsale, shruti haasan has always been transparent. In a recent interview with Filmfare, she discussed how people occasionally question her, "Which number boyfriend is this?" and stated that she has no regrets.

Shruti said that she feels awful for hurting a few people who were important to her, but she doesn't regret her decisions when asked if there is anything she would change about her life. She acknowledged that mistakes are inevitable and now takes the time to apologize to anybody she may have offended.

I regret that I have caused harm to some people," she stated.  I have no regrets about anything else.  I say, "Okay, it's okay, I was a clown."  I accidentally offended a few people who were very important to me, and I now always spend time apologizing for it."

Shruti Haasan revealed that she frequently wished previous romances hadn't had such an impact on her. She acknowledged that not much has changed in this regard over time. Although everyone has one "dangerous ex," she claimed she usually goes on without feeling guilty. "We all have that one dangerous ex, apart from that, I do close the chapter with no regrets," she remarked in response to remarks regarding her dating history. For this reason, when someone asks, "Oh, which number boyfriend is this?" You're not getting it; to me, it's the number of times I've failed to find the love I desire, but to you, it's just a number. I feel a bit guilty about it, but not bad at all. I am a human, of course.

People develop differently, thus shruti haasan stated she doesn't blame her spouse when a relationship ends.  She went on to say she doesn't feel the need to defend herself if she chooses to move on because she has always been dependable and kind in her relationships.
