According to intelligence sources who spoke to india Herald, the Pakistani army has started moving terrorists to army shelters and bunkers and clearing out several terror launch pads around Pakistan-occupied kashmir (PoK) out of fear of indian reprisals following the recent terror incident in pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

The action was taken soon after terrorist positions were rearranged as a result of indian security officials identifying many active launch platforms.  According to intelligence information, terrorists are being moved from strategic areas in occupied kashmir, such as Kel, Sardi, Dudhnial, Athmuqam, Jura, Lipa, Pachhiban, Forward Kahuta, Kotli, Khuiratta, Mandhar, Nikail, Chamankot, and Jankote.

As tensions along the LoC increased following the april 22 terror incident in pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives, the abrupt repositioning revealed Pakistan's frantic attempt to protect its terror infrastructure from indian monitoring and preemptive strikes.

According to sources, security forces targeted up to 42 terror launch pads and training facilities located throughout Pakistan-occupied kashmir last week. They also disclosed that between 150 and 200 trained terrorists are presently positioned throughout different camps, prepared for infiltration attempts.

26 persons, primarily tourists, were slaughtered in pahalgam on april 22 by five to six terrorists associated with The Resistance Front (TRF), a branch of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), after they were allegedly singled out based on their religion.  Widespread indignation throughout india and a dramatic escalation of tensions with pakistan have resulted from the vicious onslaught, which is reportedly the worst assault on civilians in recent memory.
