Just before the Independence Day weekend, on august 14, 2025, Rajinikanth and lokesh Kanagaraj's film Coolie will be released worldwide. It is one of the most costly movies ever produced in indian cinema history, with an astounding budget of Rs 400 crore.
 
Anirudh Ravichander, who reunited with Rajinikanth and lokesh after earlier successes, wrote the music and background soundtrack for the film, which stars Nayanthara in the lead role.
 
According to reports, Rajinikanth has inked a contract worth between Rs 260 and Rs 280 crore, making him the highest-paid actor in Asia. Aamir Khan will make a special cameo appearance for Rs 25 to 30 crore, while Nagarjuna, who plays a significant role, is seeking Rs 24 crore.  For Rs 2 crore, pooja hegde will appear in a song sequence.
 
Sathyaraj, upendra Rao, and shruti haasan are also featured in the movie.  The biggest salary in lokesh Kanagaraj's career is Rs 60 crore. Massive anticipation has been generated by a recently released promo film that marks the 100-day countdown and has gone viral.
 
The action-packed glances, star-studded cast, and sleek visuals have fans giddy. Coolie is expected to be a box office success and one of the largest film events of the year because to its strong names, enormous budget, and high expectations.
