The central government has issued an order to quickly complete the project to set up a satellite to monitor Pakistani terrorists. If it is installed, this satellite will be of great help to the indian Army, and India's prestige in space will rise, according to space experts. After the massacre of 26 people in Pahalgam, Kashmir, the indian Army launched an operation named Operation Sindoor. It destroyed the camps of terrorists hiding in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. In this, more than 100 terrorists were killed. Intelligence played a key role in this operation. This operation was carried out based on intelligence information collected about the hideouts of terrorists. Now, the indian government has formulated a big plan to strengthen its intelligence-gathering power further.
For this, the indian government is taking big steps to strengthen its spy satellite system. After Operation Sindoor, the armed forces and the government realized the need to strengthen the intelligence machinery further. The project will cost around $3 billion, or approximately Rs. 22,500 crore. It is called the Space-Based Surveillance (SBS-3) project. In october last year, the cabinet Committee on Security gave the green light to the project. A total of 52 spy satellites will be manufactured. Of these, the responsibility for 31 satellites has been given to three private companies, while the remaining 21 satellites will be manufactured by the indian space research organisation (ISRO). The main task of these satellites is to monitor India's borders, especially Pakistan's activities. terrorists can observe the activity. To quickly develop the satellites, it is working with three private companies - Anant Technologies, Centum Electronics, and Alpha Design Technologies. Earlier, these companies were given a time limit of four years, but now it has been reduced to 12 to 18 months. With this, these satellites will be ready by 2026 or earlier. Considering the critical need of this project, the government has sought its speedy completion.

There are two ways to launch these spy satellites. ISRO's satish dhawan Space Center, or a rocket from Elon Musk's company SpaceX. With the help of rockets, including ISRO's Heavy Rocket (LVM3), the satellites will be launched into their orbits in space. This will not only strengthen the security of the country's borders but also improve the infrastructure. It is noteworthy that such satellites were used in the Russian-Ukrainian war. This is also a big opportunity for india, which will help india progress further in the space sector. An expert said that the satellite system is a big boon for India.
