During a conversation at the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum, US Second Lady usha Vance said on her visit to india - It was really a trip of a lifetime for us. My children had never been to India. They grew up knowing a lot about this country. The stories, the food, and the relationship with grandparents and friends, but they had never really seen it, so it was just kind of awe-inspiring from their perspective. And then for JD and me, I think it couldn't have been more special. We got the opportunity to see some of the best places in India. We are looking forward to our next trip to india and trying to go to parts of the country where my family comes from.
Usha Vance said about meeting PM Modi during her visit to india, "Meeting PM narendra modi, it was really special. My kids saw him - they were sleep deprived when they were in paris and they saw an indian man with a beard and white hair. They immediately put him in the grandfather category, they were very impressed with him; they love him so much and PM narendra Modi really cemented his status by giving our 5-year-old a birthday gift that day. When we went to their house, they just came running. They were hugging him. They were incredibly kind and generous to them.
When we were at the PM's residence, our son was so impressed with everything and then he loved the whole cart of mangoes available to eat so much that he told PM Modi that he thinks he could probably live here. Our kids always talk about it. They have been everywhere and have had wonderful opportunities to see the world, but this was really special for them.
Meeting PM Modi and their visit to India About this he said - I think it was a very productive conversation for JD Vance and prime minister narendra Modi. But at the same time, I think it was a real opportunity for us to strengthen the personal relationship between them, which I think is only for the good. We saw a puppet show there which was a special highlight with puppeteers from all over india, including from Andhra Pradesh, where my family comes from. There were some excerpts from the Ramayana, some humorous excerpts with animals, and it was a huge hit. My kids were trying to make houses out of construction paper.
