Without a single major motion picture, this summer has been effectively wasted for the third time in a row.  Sree Vishnu's Single was the only good movie released in 2025 summer.  A number of medium budget films were scheduled for release in the summer, but many were postponed because major motion pictures were announced instead.  The following three blockbusters were supposed to be released in the summer but were unable to do so in time for the holidays:

Vishwambara

After ram Charan's Game Changer was postponed and placed in the Sankranthi race, megastar Chiranjeevi's socio-fantasy film Vishwambara was rescheduled for release in the summer of 2025.  A number of films that were originally scheduled for a May release were moved back, and Vishwambara was set for release on May 9.  However, because the VFX work was delayed, Vishwambara was not able to be released in the summer.  The movie's release is the subject of numerous rumors.  

Hari Hara Veera Mallu

The long-delayed release of Pawan Kalyan's hari Hara Veera Mallu was scheduled on May 9th after Vishwambara was eliminated from the summer race.  Due to Pawan Kalyan's inability to finish the remaining filming, the release was soon pushed back.  Hari Hara Veera Mallu is anticipated to be released in July after he recently concluded the film's production.  Pawan Kalyan's major endeavor also caused a number of projects to be postponed.
 
Kingdom

Another movie with a history of delayed releases is Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom, which was ultimately scheduled for release on May 31st.  Kingdom was also delayed by the post-production process.  The movie is no longer in the summer race and will now be released on July 4.
