IndiGo trainee pilot saran Kumar has complained that his colleagues discriminated against him on the basis of caste and made abusive remarks. Following this, a case has been registered against the three accused under the Prevention of Atrocities Act. saran Kumar, a trainee pilot at indigo airlines, has been accused of treating him with caste discrimination by three of his colleagues. saran Kumar has alleged that they also used abusive words like "tell him to go back and sew sandals". saran Kumar has also said that they called him by derogatory names and said that he was not fit to sit in the cockpit of the aircraft or fly the aircraft.

Defamation charge:
Sharan Kumar's father ashok kumar has filed a complaint against the accused Tapas Dey, manish Sahani, and rahul Patil. In the complaint, "In the presence of colleagues, they uttered casteist and obscene words like 'You are not qualified to fly a plane, your ancestors' profession is to sew shoes, you go and sew shoes, you are not even qualified to lick my shoes'. These are serious offenses under the law," ashok kumar said in his complaint. Furthermore, "Do you have the guts to sit in front of me and ask for an explanation? You are not even qualified to be a watchman in this building, are you asking for an explanation?" ashok kumar has alleged in the complaint.
Based on Charan Kumar's complaint, a case has been registered against the three accused under relevant sections of the Scheduled Castes and scheduled tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita (BNS). ashok kumar has alleged that his son Charan Kumar was subjected to continuous and systematic harassment and discrimination by his colleagues. He has alleged that his caste was openly mentioned and used with the intention of humiliating him and that he was treated with indignity simply because he belongs to a Scheduled Caste.
Ashok Kumar has also alleged that although saran Kumar did nothing wrong, salary cuts, deduction of leave without valid reason, and cancellation of benefits available to other employees were only given to saran Kumar and a warning letter was issued as a tool to force him to resign. The victim's father said that even though saran Kumar reported the matter to the CEO and Ethics Committee of indigo airlines, no action was taken against the accused.

"No action has been taken to redress this injustice or protect my dignity and rights," ashok kumar said in a statement. Meanwhile, the police have initiated further investigation into the allegations raised by saran Kumar.
