Some said that there was no possibility that The Acolyte could have been subjected to review-bombing when it debuted on Disney+ last year. Despite the evidence to the contrary, they maintained that people simply detested it as much as they did. Unfortunately, it was inevitable that Ironheart would receive the same treatment from so-called "fans" because she was a Black female star. That was proven last night when the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever follow-up received a 32% audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes, just hours before the first three episodes of the show were released.
Rotten Tomatoes removed the score and prevented users from sharing their scores until the premiere was available for streaming because it is undeniable that audiences had not yet seen it.  That could be the reason for its current, much healthier 70% rating on Popcornmeter, a review aggregator.

Additionally, there are indications that Ironheart is being bombarded with negative reviews on IMDb.  Regulating the site to prevent movies and tv shows from being taken over by people who want to see them fail for whatever reason is unfortunately very limited.

In our 3* review, we stated that "Ironheart soars when Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Alden Ehrenreich, and Lyric Ross are on screen," but a by-the-numbers narrative means the series doesn't quite reach the same heights as iron Man.  Nevertheless, the conclusion is unquestionably a must-see.

Although Ironheart isn't a major triumph for Marvel Studios/Marvel television, it is also a result of the quantity above quality movement that was started by Bob Chapek, the former CEO of Disney.  Hopefully, Wonder Man will bring the MCU on Disney+ to a much more successful close to the year.
