
Prime minister Narendra Modi on saturday (June 28) interacted with Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, the first indian astronaut to reach the international Space Station (ISS). The Prime Minister's office shared a video on the social media platform X. In this video, prime minister Narendra Modi and Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla are seen talking to each other.
While talking to Shubhanshu Shukla, prime minister Narendra Modi first congratulated him for hoisting the flag of India. PM Modi said, "Shubhanshu, you are an inspiration to the youth. Today you are far from our motherland, but you are closest to the hearts of Indians. There is shubh in your name and your journey is also the beginning of a new era."
PM Modi said, "At this time only the two of us are talking, but the feelings of 140 crore indians are also with me. There is enthusiasm and excitement of all indians in my voice. I heartily congratulate and wish you for hoisting our flag in space." During this, PM Modi asked Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, “Is everything okay there? Are you okay? "
Shubhanshu Shukla thanked PM Modi and indians for their wishes
During this, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla said, "Prime minister Modi, thank you and 140 crore indians for your wishes. I am fine and safe here. I am feeling very good, this is a new experience. This journey is not just mine but the journey of the whole country." He said, "Under your leadership, today's india provides many opportunities to fulfill one's dreams. I feel very proud to represent india here."
During this, PM Modi asked him if he ate the 'Gajar Ka Halwa' he had brought with him. Then Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla said, "Yes, I brought carrot halwa, moong dal halwa and mango juice with me. I wanted everyone who came with me from other countries to enjoy the rich indian cuisine. We all ate it together and everyone liked it."

Shubhanshu Shukla said, "We see sunrise and sunset 16 times a day here. india looks very grand from here." He said that this is just a staircase, but india is running.
